The perimeter of a shape is defined as the distance around the shape.
If each edge of the cube is a, then the surface area of this cube would be 2(a × a + a × a + a × a),
Surface Area of a Cube = 6a2, where a is the edge of the cube
When we measure the magnitude of the region of a space, that is, the space occupied by a solid, we do so by counting the number of cubes of edge of unit length that can fit into it exactly. Therefore, the unit of measurement of volume is cubic unit.
Volume of a Cube = edge × edge × edge = a3, where a is the edge of the cube.
